Meet Honey!
Honey will not walk up to you right away. She will watch you from across the room, deciding whether you are worth trusting — and the moment she decides you are, she will be by your side for the rest of the day. That first breakthrough moment, when Honey finally leans in for a scratch behind the ears and lets out a long, contented sigh, is something her future family will never forget.
Once she has decided you are her person, Honey is all in. She craves attention the way some dogs crave treats — she wants to be near you, acknowledged by you, loved by you. The shyness does not disappear, but it transforms into something quieter and more beautiful: a dog who chose you, deliberately and completely.
Honey loves her walks. It is where she comes alive — nose working, tail up, fully present. She gets along beautifully with other dogs when she is out in the world, which makes neighborhood strolls with a friend easy and enjoyable. At home though, she prefers her space to herself — no other resident dogs or cats. In return she will give you everything she has, which turns out to be quite a lot.
