About Duggie

Meet Duggie!  Duggie is a handsome German Shepherd mix who is just over a year old and 60lbs, and ready to find the forever family he's been waiting for.  He's a smart, affectionate, and energetic young dog who will truly shine in a loving home that can provide the consistency and structure he deserves.Duggie is housed trained, crate trained, and already knows all of his basic commands.  Even better, he absolutely loves learning!  Whether it's practicing commands he knows or tackling something new, he's eager to please and highly motivated by both treats and praise.  He can be a bit anxious on leash, especially in busy, nosiy environments.Like many young shepherds, Duggie has plently of energy.  He loves playing fetch, tug-of-war, and would be an amazing partner for an active family.  He gets along well with other dogs who enjoy his playful energy and would likely do best with older childern, simply because his enthusiasm and size might accidentally knock over little ones.  He's the kind of dog who would excel in obedience classes or other training activities—–not because he needs fixing, but because he genuinely loves having a job to do and learning alongside his person.If you're looking for a loyal best friend, an adventure buddy, and a dog who will reward your patience with endless love and devotion, Duggis just might be your perfect match.  Duggie is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines, flea, tick and heatworm prevention.  He is avaialbe to adopt at  Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA  KL#16182
